Lagos State First Lady, Dr (Mrs) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday led top government officials to the wake-keep ceremony of late civil servant, Mrs Abosede Agoro.
The ceremony, held at the HoS Staff Quarters near Marwa Garden, Alausa CBD, was attended by the First Lady alongside the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr Bode Agoro.
Other senior government officials present included the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Chief of Staff, Mr Semiu Kadri, and Permanent Secretary, Mr Sunkanmi Oyegbola, among others.
Until her demise, Mrs Abosede Agoro was the wife of a State House protocol officer, Mr Abolore Agoro.
The solemn event also attracted directors, politicians, and community leaders from Lagos Island and Ebute Metta, many of whom came to sympathise with the Agoro family and pay tribute to the deceased.
Prayers were offered for the peaceful repose of her soul, while speakers at the event encouraged the bereaved family to remain strong and take solace in the support and goodwill shown by sympathisers.
The gathering was marked by emotional tributes, hymns, and words of encouragement as attendees reflected on the life and virtues of the deceased.
Mr Abolore Agoro and members of the family expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Government, colleagues, friends, and well-wishers for their support, prayers, and presence during the difficult period.
