Ladi Oluwaloni Backs Ayobo Ipaja CDAs with ₦2.5 Million Support Grant

In a bold demonstration of his administration’s commitment to grassroots development, the Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Otunba Ladi Oluwaloni (OLO1), has presented a financial support package of ₦250,000 each to ten Community Development Associations (CDAs) within the LCDA.

The cheques were presented during the monthly meeting of the Community Development Committee (CDC), held at the council secretariat amid applause and commendation from community leaders and stakeholders.

Otunba Oluwaloni, addressing the gathering, described the intervention as part of a broader strategy to strengthen the capacity of CDAs to deliver on community-based initiatives and ensure tangible improvements in the quality of life for residents.

"This gesture is not just about the funds being presented today," the Chairman noted. "It is a reaffirmation of our belief that sustainable development must be rooted in the active participation of our local communities. I am urging all CDA leaders here today to use these funds judiciously and channel them into impactful projects that directly benefit your people."

Since assuming office in April 2025 following the passing of his predecessor, Chief Mrs. Bolatito Sobowale, Otunba Oluwaloni has hit the ground running with a string of people-centered initiatives aimed at promoting inclusive development and social welfare. His swift response to pressing infrastructural needs, community engagement efforts, and strategic collaborations with stakeholders have earned him praise across Ayobo-Ipaja

Speaking further, he emphasized the importance of unity and collective responsibility in advancing the LCDA’s development agenda.

"To whom much is given, much is expected. The people of Ayobo-Ipaja have entrusted us with their mandate, and we must not let them down. Let us join hands, put politics aside, and work together to transform our communities. This administration remains committed to partnering with community leaders to deliver the dividends of democracy directly to the doorsteps of our people."

The CDC Chairman, community leaders, and representatives of the benefiting CDAs commended the Chairman for his visionary leadership and unprecedented grassroots outreach within his first few weeks in office.

Speaking on behalf of the CDAs, ElderJoseph Olokede, who is also the chairman of the CDC, described the initiative as a "lifeline" for several stalled community projects and praised Otunba Oluwaloni’s proactive approach.

“We have never seen this level of responsiveness and support so early into an administration. This is truly commendable,” she said

The event concluded with a renewed pledge of cooperation between the council administration and community structures, as Otunba Oluwaloni promised that similar empowerment programs would continue in phases to ensure no community is left behind.
