The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, was presented with an award of excellence by the Conference 57 Chief Press Secretaries.
The award was presented to him by the Chairman of Chairmen of Conference 57, Sesan Olowa, in recognition of Akosile’s outstanding contributions to strategic communication, public information management, and his support for colleagues across the 57 LGAs and LCDAs in Lagos State.
Speaking during the presentation, Olowa described Akosile as a mentor and a rallying figure for government communicators in the state. He noted that Akosile’s leadership and accessibility have strengthened synergy between the state government and local council information managers.
“Conference 57 recognizes dedication, professionalism, and the commitment to projecting the good works of government. Mr. Akosile has consistently demonstrated these values,” Olowa said.
In his remarks, Akosile thanked the Conference 57 CPSs for the honor and dedicated the award to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the entire Lagos media team. He urged the Chief Press Secretaries to remain objective, proactive, and united in telling the Lagos story at the grassroots.
The Conference 57 Chief Press Secretaries, a body comprising information managers from all 57 LGAs and LCDAs in Lagos, said the award is part of its annual recognition of individuals who have advanced the practice of government communication in the state.
