In a move to strengthen local security architecture, the Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Mr. Kamorudeen Mudashiru Morenikeji, has completed the construction of a modern Amotekun Security House to boost the operations of the security network in the area.

The facility, built under the #TogetherWeCan administration, is set to be commissioned on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. The ceremony will also feature the formal handover of a brand-new operational vehicle to the Lagelu Security Network to enhance rapid response and community policing.

Speaking on the development, stakeholders in the local government area described the project as a clear demonstration of Chairman Kamorudeen’s commitment to his campaign promises of a secure, prosperous, and connected Lagelu.

Residents expressed appreciation for what they described as a practical step towards tackling insecurity, restoring public confidence, and fostering socio-economic growth at the grassroots.

“This is what we voted for. The New Lagelu is truly here,” one community leader said while praising the council boss, popularly referred to as The People’s Chairman.

The project, according to officials, is part of ongoing efforts by the local government to consolidate peace and security, thereby creating a safer environment for businesses, education, and community life to thrive.
