TINUBU APPLAUDS SOMOLU LG CHAIRMAN 'DULLAR' ON MULTIPLE PROJECTS COMMISSIONING

The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu, fondly known as 'Dullar', was widely applauded earlier today as he commissioned multiple people-oriented projects in a grand ceremony that brought pride to the community. The event drew dignitaries, political leaders, and residents, all celebrating a legacy of vision and transformation.

In attendance was Hajia Fatima Tajudeen-Abbas, wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, who represented Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. She was joined by Her Excellency Mrs Oluremi Kadir Hamzat, wife of the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, who ably represented Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. Also present was Mrs Florence Salawu, the radiant wife of the Executive Chairman

The newly unveiled Senator Oluremi Tinubu Administrative Building is a magnificent four-floor smart ultra-modern complex, boasting over 120 offices with glass panel exteriors, an escalator, and a fully soundproof multipurpose hall. The facility sets a new standard for service delivery and digital governance at the grassroots level.

The Senator Adebayo Osinowo Legislative Complex was also commissioned, immortalising the contributions of the late Lagos East Senator fondly known as 'Pepperito'. It serves to strengthen democratic engagement and effective representation within the council.

To enhance emergency response in Somolu, the Tiamiyu Adesina Fire Service Station was inaugurated. The structure, named after the Somolu-born former GM of LASEMA, is equipped with a functional fire fighting truck and represents a vital addition to the community’s safety infrastructure. Mrs. Adeseye Margaret Abimbola, a Director form Lagos State Fire Service was in attendance.

Security infrastructure was further bolstered with the commissioning of the New Bashua Police Post. This development aims to improve community policing and create a safer environment for residents and businesses.

Traditional, community, religious and political leaders thronged the event. The Chairman of Conference57, Hon. Alabi Kolade David as well as the Secretary of Conference57, Hon. Rasak Olusola Ajala We're in attendance. Hon. Biodun Orekoya, APC Lagos Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, and Hon. (Dr.) Lateef Ibirogba, South-West APC Organising Secretary, joined other government officials in attendance.

Using the occasion and media presence, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu 'Dullar' introduced the APC’s Chairmanship candidate in Somolu, Hon. Lateef Ashimi, and his running mate, Hon. Taiwo Ojomu, to the GAC members, Hajia Fatima Tajudeen-Abbas, and Mrs Oluremi Kadir Hamzat, further cementing political continuity in the local government.
