 In just three days, Nigeria will witness the unveiling of a transformative initiative that promises to redefine agricultural logistics, market access, and food security across the nation.

The “Produce for Lagos” Programme, launching on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, is a landmark collaboration between the Lagos State Government and the Lagos Food Systems Infrastructure Company. It aims to create a seamless supply chain linking producers from across Nigeria directly to one of Africa’s most dynamic urban food markets—Lagos.

With a bold vision of building smarter logistics, fostering inclusive economic growth, and catalyzing nationwide collaboration, this initiative is more than just a state programme—it’s a blueprint for national food resilience.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is expected to lead the launch, alongside key players from the private sector, farmer cooperatives, logistics networks, and development agencies.

Lagos is calling. Nigeria’s farmers are answering. And the future of food is arriving—fast.
