Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has congratulated the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Nentawe Yilwatda, on his 58th birthday, describing him as a focused, strategic and grassroots-oriented leader whose stewardship is strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a congratulatory message signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, Governor Abiodun commended Yilwatda for demonstrating political maturity, courage and administrative capacity since assuming the leadership of the ruling party.
The Governor said the APC, under Yilwatda’s leadership, had continued to strengthen its internal structures, deepen cohesion among members and position itself for greater electoral victories across the country.
According to him, the task before the APC goes beyond winning elections to building a strong, united and responsive political organisation capable of addressing the aspirations of Nigerians.
Abiodun described Yilwatda as a dependable party administrator whose commitment to unity, inclusiveness and grassroots mobilisation would be crucial to the continued growth and consolidation of the APC.
He said the party’s electoral performance and expanding acceptance across the country had provided a solid foundation for it to consolidate its position as Nigeria’s leading political platform.
The Governor said: “Your 58th birthday provides another opportunity to celebrate your contributions to the growth and consolidation of our great party.
“Since assuming the leadership of our party, you have demonstrated courage, humility, political maturity and a clear understanding of the responsibility entrusted to you.
“At this critical juncture in our national political journey, the APC requires a leadership that can unite our members, strengthen our structures and mobilise our people for greater electoral victories. Your leadership has continued to provide that direction.
“As we look towards 2027, I am confident that with a united and determined APC, under your leadership, we will consolidate our achievements, expand our electoral frontiers and renew the confidence of Nigerians in our progressive agenda.”
Abiodun further commended Yilwatda for strengthening the relationship between the national leadership of the party and its members at all levels, stressing that a strong and cohesive political party remained indispensable to the success and sustainability of democratic governance.
He expressed confidence that the APC National Chairman would continue to deploy his experience and political ingenuity towards building a stronger party capable of expanding its national reach, winning more states and securing victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
The Governor prayed for Yilwatda to be granted many more years in good health, wisdom and strength to continue his service to the party and the nation.
“On behalf of my family, the government and the good people of Ogun State, I warmly felicitate with you, our National Chairman, on your 58th birthday.
“I pray that God will continue to guide you, strengthen you and grant you the wisdom required to lead our party to greater heights.
