The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (LSCPWB) has reaffirmed its commitment to improving service delivery through continuous staff development with the successful hosting of its 2026 In-House Training Programme for members of staff.
The training, themed "Attaining Spiritual and Operational Excellence in Pilgrim Services," was held on Thursday, July 30th, 2026, at the Board's Conference Room, and focused on equipping staff with the spiritual values, ethical principles, and digital competencies required to deliver efficient and people-centered pilgrim services.
Delivering the keynote session, Barrister Mrs. Rita Nwalupue emphasised that spiritual excellence remains fundamental to effective pilgrim administration. She encouraged staff to embrace the principles of servant leadership by demonstrating integrity, humility, compassion, accountability, and a commitment to excellence in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Participants also received training on cyber awareness from Mr. Adeleye Adeyinka, who educated staff on emerging cyber threats, responsible digital practices, and strategies for protecting personal and official information in an increasingly technology-driven workplace.
Speaking at the close of the programme, the Board Secretary, Dr. Gbolabo Omoniyi Okudero, appreciated the Lagos State Government for its support in holding the training session. Okudero commended the Administration and Human Resources Department for organising a successful training and appreciated the facilitators for sharing practical knowledge with staff.
He charged members of staff to translate the lessons learned into improved service delivery, noting that the Board's mandate can only be achieved through a workforce that is spiritually grounded, professionally competent, and responsive to the evolving demands of public service.
Also speaking, the Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mrs. Aina, thanked staff for their active participation and encouraged them to continually pursue personal and professional development in order to enhance the quality of services rendered by the Board.
The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board remains committed to building a highly skilled, ethical, and service-driven workforce capable of delivering a seamless pilgrimage experience for Christian pilgrims from Lagos State.
