The Mogaji of the Oseni Section of Alliwo, Otun Balogun Lagun, Alhaji Waheed Hamed, has passed away after a brief illness.
Family members announced that the respected community leader died in the early hours of today.
In a statement issued by the family, they described the late Alhaji Hamed as a devoted father, uncle and brother whose contributions to the growth and unity of the community would be greatly missed.
The statement added that burial arrangements would be conducted in accordance with Islamic rites.
He is scheduled to be buried today at 4 p.m. at his residence located at Onibuore Motan.
Sympathisers, community leaders and well-wishers have continued to send condolences to the family, praying for the repose of his soul and strength for those he left behind.
