The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly refuted allegations that its delegates were stranded due to non-payment of mobilisation funds, describing the claims as false and misleading.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the party’s spokesman, Hon. Seye Oladejo, dismissed a report by Sahara Reporters which alleged that Lagos delegates were left unattended at transit points.
Oladejo stated that all accredited delegates from the state were transported to Abuja in a well-coordinated and orderly manner, with adequate arrangements made to ensure their comfort throughout the trip.
“At no point were Lagos delegates stranded at any airport or motor park. Upon arrival in Abuja, suitable accommodation was provided, contrary to the claims in the report,” he said.
The party further clarified that neither the Lagos State Government nor Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is responsible for financing party activities, stressing that the APC operates its logistics and funding through internal party mechanisms.

Oladejo also alleged a recurring pattern of misinformation from the platform, accusing it of publishing unverified claims intended to distort public perception.
He noted that the publication’s credibility should be questioned, particularly given what he described as potential conflicts of interest involving its publisher, who is also active in opposition politics.
The Lagos APC, however, urged the public to remain discerning in consuming information, advising readers to verify sources before accepting sensational claims.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to internal cohesion and sustained support for governance efforts in Lagos State and across Nigeria.
