President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday marked Valentine’s Day with a message of love, reassurance and renewed commitment to national development, urging citizens to remain patient and hopeful amid ongoing reforms.
In a statement released to commemorate the occasion, the President extended warm wishes to Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, describing the season as a reminder that love is best demonstrated through sacrifice, patience and unwavering commitment.
According to the message, the administration’s policies and reforms are rooted in what the President described as a “sincere, fatherly love” for the country, with the ultimate goal of securing a stable and prosperous future for both present and future generations.
The President acknowledged that periods of reform can come with challenges and, at times, misconceptions. However, he encouraged Nigerians to maintain faith in the government’s rebuilding efforts, expressing confidence that perseverance would overcome temporary difficulties.
Reaffirming his administration’s development blueprint, President Tinubu stated that the Renewed Hope Agenda represents more than a slogan, but a promise of a stronger, more united and prosperous nation. He called on citizens to embrace unity, peace and collective responsibility as the country navigates its transformation.
“Just as love triumphs over doubt, perseverance shall prevail over temporary difficulties,” the message read.
The statement concluded with prayers for the nation and an affirmation of the President’s goodwill toward all Nigerians.
The message was signed by Comrade Japheth Odesanya, Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
