Second Batch of Lagos Pilgrims Arrive Safely in Israel, Advised to Maintain Decorum

The second batch of Lagos pilgrims arrived safely in Israel on Sunday, February 15, 2026, after a three-day stay in Jordan.

Upon arrival, they were welcomed by Mr. Adebayo Anthony, representative of Nigeria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attached to the Nigerian Embassy in Israel.

Mr. Anthony urged the pilgrims to secure their luggage, respect Israeli law, and pray for Nigeria, their states, and families.

Before the day's activities, Dr. Okudero Gbolabo Omoniyi, Board Secretary, Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, advised pilgrims to obey tour guides for a smooth experience.

He cautioned against vigils in hotels, overstaying at pilgrimage sites, and excessive shopping, stressing that such actions distrupt scheduled movements.

The group visited the Basilica of the Transfiguration on Mount Tabor and the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth, praying at each site before retiring to their hotel.
