The Lagos State Pilgrims in Israel have expressed deep spiritual fulfilment and gratitude for the well-organised pilgrimage exercise, praising the Lagos State Government for the excellent welfare package and value for their money and time.
In an interview with some of the Pilgrims, the ongoing pilgrimage exercise in Israel have brought lots of fulfilment in the spiritual journey of the pilgrims with testimonies of deep understanding of the Bible and basis of their Christian faith been shared.
Board Secretary Dr. Okudero Gbolabo Omoniyi commended the pilgrims for their obedience, spirituality, and active participation, noting they prioritise spiritual growth over other interests.
He said, "The pilgrims are truly working in the spirit of the journey." "They know why they're here – it's about spirituality, not shopping or jamboree." He also appreciated the operational staff for ensuring pilgrims' safety and well-being in Israel.
The pilgrims have visited significant sites in Bethlehem, including the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Pool of Bethesda, Mount Zion, the Shepherd’s Field, Church of Nativity, Garden of Gethsemane, amongst others.
They're set to explore Nazareth's historic landmarks, such as the Basilica of the Annunciation and Jesus' childhood home, marking the final days of the 1st batch of the 2025 pilgrimage exercise.
