,Yoruba Council Worldwide, Nigeria Coalition Group Reject FG, NMDPRA's SUSUPENSION OF 15% IMPORT DUTY, WE SAY NO PANIC BUYING BY NIGERIANS, EXCEPT OIL CABALS PANICKING

By Kayode Olopade

The Nigeria Coalition Group and Yoruba Council Worldwide laconically condemned and frowned at the announcement of the 15% import duty Tax Tariffs suspension by the FG signed by the Principal Personal Private Secretary to Mr President, Prince Damilotun Aderemi and corroborated by NMDPRA, citing Nigerians panic buying of petroleum products; Premium Motor Spirit-PMS (Petrol) and Automotive Gas Oil-AGO(Diesel), however this is not true as we are yet to see any long que, or people carrying jerrycan or any atom of scarcity in any parts of Nigeria.

Nigerians earnestly reiterate our demands for the immediate implementation of the 15% import duty Tax Tariffs, this announcement for suspension is totally wrong moves in this precarious and perilous times, while we see this as a figment of their imagination and deceitful decoy by desperate and powerful oil cabals who are  the ones panicking and wolverine around the Presidency inorder to eternally impoverish, dominate and aggressively sustain the Nigerian masses sufferings, agony and hopelessness, having recently presented on 12th November, 2025 our joint Letter of Demands for immediate implementation of the 15% import duty Tax Tariffs to the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu CON  alongside the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa for onward accelerated action and submission to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR at the Grand Solidarity Support Thank You Rally Protest in  support of local refineries and safeguard indigenous investments from vicious intimidation, subjugation and suppression, especially considering our appeal for Dangote Refinery's 100% Allocation of crude oil supply inorder to maximally utilize the 650,000 BPD capacity Refinery plant, which has been undermined with shortage of supply by the NMDPRA and NNPCL, stating further that if Dangote Refinery has access to just 50% of its Crude Oil utilisation, it is enough to meet and satisfy 100% daily demands for all Nigerians with low prices announcement in the coming days, with an assurance of No fuel scarcity brouhaha and unimaginable abundance of excess AGO and PMS left to still go round and satisfactorily meet our daily petroleum needs.

In a statement signed  by the President and Convener of the group, Aare Oladotun Hassan Esq and made available to journalists in Lagos stated that it may interest you to know that Dangote Refinery and Alhaji Aliko Dangote is not monopolistic but a brave, compassionate and patriotic Nigerian who believes in Nigeria.

"Dangote Refinery has fully developed a preventive measures in situations of national emergency or unforeseen situation that can result in scarcity, with her biggest fully stored petroleum products tank farm reserve, which alone can a last for a whole year", he stated

The group calls on President Tinubu for onward immediate implementation of the 15% import duty Tax Tariffs charged on all imported petroleum products (AGO and PMS), with an aggressive demand for a total ban on all imported petroleum products into Nigeria.

We resist and stand against the announcement of 15% import duty Tax Tariffs suspension orchestrated by DAPPMAN, IPMAN, PENGASSAN AND NUPENG aimed at keeping Nigerians afloat in poverty, consequently we all expressed solidarity with our local refineries and Dangote Refinery by voicing our concerns over the economic sabotage against the refinery by irritants oil cabals and union leaders, especially Comrade Festus OSIFO led PENGASSAN  whose motive is precariously intended to ridicule and de-market Dangote Refinery's landmarks achievements of providing the largest single train Petroleum Refinery in Africa, with an expansion positive drive of 1.4Million BPD capacity Refinery, the biggest in the World when completed.

The leadership of the Nigeria Coalition Group and Yoruba Council Worldwide urge all Nigerians to continuously rally support for this noble cause.

The protest demands immediate implementation of the 15% import duty Tax Tariffs and Total Ban and End To Fuel (Premium Motor Spirit-PMS and Automotive Gas Oil-AGO) Importation into Nigeria with further delay, as we learnt DAPPMAN are lobbying for extension till the end of first quarter of 2026 in which they are behind the 15% import duty suspension tricks; a dangerous venomous agenda to further continously make Nigerians impoverished and suffer endlessly.

The NCG demands onward Allocation of 100% Crude Oil Exploration access to Dangote Refinery. While the Group frowned at Comrade Festus OSIFO led PENGASSAN's premeditated orchestrated shutting down of Dangote Refinery, continuous deceitful decoy false and unfounded allegations, spreading of evil narratives of monopoly cries and his continous nefarious conducts against Dangote Refinery, resulting in economic sabotage and loss of N30BILLION.

While the Group has petitioned EFCC, Nigeria Police Force, DSS and other law enforcement agencies to commence full detailed investigation against anyone found culpable - into the acts of sabotage carried out 22 times by some disgruntled elements camouflaged as Dangote Refinery's staffs, and Festus OSIFO shutting down order of the Refinery.

The organizers and participants all dressed in White & Jeans, symbolizing unity and solidarity. The event  brought together various stakeholders, including individuals, academia, professionals, artisans, organizations, Royal Fathers and community leaders, to show support for Dangote Refinery and passed a vote of Confidence on the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
