Former Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Otunba Samuel Olukunle Ojo, has showered glowing tributes on his wife, Princess (Mrs.) Rakiya Ojo, as she clocked 60, describing her as “a priceless gift from God and the pillar of peace” in his life.

The grand celebration, which held on Saturday at the Black Pearl Event Centre, Fish Farm, Ogudu Expressway, Lagos, was attended by family members, friends, and associates of the Ojos, who gathered to honour the elegant matriarch on her Diamond Jubilee.

In his heartfelt remarks, Otunba Ojo expressed gratitude to God for blessing him with a devoted and prayerful wife, noting that her love and strength have been a steady light in their home.

“I give God the glory for finding Rakiya for me because she is indeed a blessing. She has given me peace, love, and above all, a prayerful and devoted partnership. Sharing life’s journey with her has been the greatest blessing of all,” Ojo said.

He prayed that God would grant his wife long life, good health, and the grace to enjoy the fruits of her labour.

“Through every season — the laughter, the challenges, and the victories — her love has remained constant. She is my confidante, my cheerleader, my peace, and my queen,” he added.

In her goodwill message, the celebrant’s daughter, Mrs. Precious Adeniyi, expressed joy and deep admiration for her mother, describing her as a woman of love, strength, and grace.

“I celebrate you today not just for the number of years you have lived but for the life you have led — one filled with love, wisdom, and compassion. You are the most amazing mother anyone could ask for,” she said.

The celebrant’s kinsmen from Edo State also paid glowing tributes, describing Princess Rakiya as a passionate, unifying figure who is deeply committed to family and community welfare.

“She is a woman who never jokes with family matters. Whenever any issue arises, she ensures it is resolved. That’s why all of us, whether in Lagos, Abuja, Edo, or even in the Diaspora, hold her in such high esteem,” one of them remarked.

The event was marked by music, tributes, and a joyous atmosphere, celebrating a woman whose life has touched many with kindness, devotion, and purpose.
