It was a gathering of high-profile dignitaries in Kaduna on Friday as the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, led a powerful delegation of political and government leaders to attend the wedding Fatiha of the son of the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Senator Said Ahmed Alkali.
The solemn and joyous ceremony attracted top-tier personalities from across the country’s political landscape, underscoring the wide goodwill and camaraderie of the minister within and beyond government circles.
Also in attendance were the Executive Governors of Kaduna, Katsina, and Gombe States, as well as former Gombe State Governor, Senator Danjuma Goje. The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Land Transport, Senator Adamu Aliero, was also present, accompanied by several other members of the National Assembly.
The Federal Ministry of Transportation was well represented, with the Director overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Musa Ibrahim, leading the ministry’s delegation to the event.
Guests lauded the ceremony’s simplicity and spiritual significance, as the couple received prayers and blessings for a blissful marital journey ahead.
The event, held on Friday, July 4, 2025, further showcased the spirit of unity among Nigeria’s political class, as leaders from different regions and affiliations converged to honor one of their own.
