Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, recently embarked on a working visit to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Studios in London.
The two-day engagement, aimed at exploring strategic partnership opportunities between the BBC and the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, began with a visit to the iconic Wimbledon Tennis Tournament—one of the world’s premier sports tourism events. The visit underscored the massive potential for leveraging sporting events to drive tourism and promote destination branding
The Commissioner and her delegation later proceeded on a guided tour of the BBC facility in Central London
on, where discussions were held around potential content collaborations, media exposure, and cultural programming that could project Lagos to a global audience.
The visit marks another significant step in Lagos State’s ongoing efforts to position itself as a leading destination for tourism, arts, culture, and entertainment in Africa
