The National Association of Baptist Secondary School Old Students (NABSSOS) is set to commemorate the 45th Founder’s Day Anniversary of Baptist Secondary School, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, with a grand celebration scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Alumni Hall, Baptist Secondary School, Liberty Road, Oke-Ado, Ibadan.

Themed “Embracing Our Founders’ Vision and Legacy,” the anniversary celebration will pay tribute to the enduring vision of the school’s founding fathers and the institution’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, moral discipline, and community development.

The event, which will commence at 11:00 a.m., is expected to draw a diverse audience of old students from across Nigeria and the diaspora, school administrators, staff, students, and other distinguished guests. It will feature speeches, tributes, and recognitions aimed at celebrating the contributions of past and present stakeholders in the growth of the school.

National President of NABSSOS, Engr. Akinola Olutola, described the milestone as “a moment to reflect on the values that shaped us and recommit ourselves to the upliftment of our great alma mater.” Also spearheading the planning are Engr. Oluseun Oni, National Secretary; Mr. Sunday Fowobaje, USA-based Chairman of the Planning Committee; and Mr. Dimeji Popoola, Coordinator of the Anniversary Committee.

All donations and support for the event are being directed to the association’s dedicated Sterling Bank account, with the stated intention of enhancing development projects in the school.

As Baptist Secondary School marks 45 years of molding generations of leaders, the old students’ association has reaffirmed its pledge to uphold the founders' ideals of sound education, strong values, and community service.

The event promises to be a memorable convergence of heritage, pride, and future aspirations for all who passed through the historic institution.
