In a collective appeal, prominent Nigerians have urged citizens to choose peace, progress, and unity amidst the country's challenges. This call to action follows a series of meetings with journalists in Lagos, where concerns about the nation's state were discussed.
Prominent among the voice was Mr. Stephen Adedayo, former photographer to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and late Mrs. Kudirat Abiola.
Adedayo emphasizes the need for peaceful resolution of conflicts, avoiding violence and destructive tendencies, inclusive progress, promoting economic growth and opportunities for all and unity and national cohesion, celebrating diversity and fostering a sense of belonging.
The foremost Ekiti-born reformer acknowledged the protesters' legitimate grievances, but this time mencourage a pause in protests to prevent further loss of lives and properties and allow for constructive dialogue and engagement with authorities, s that they can
focus on rebuilding and recovery efforts.
He also called on all
Nigerians to engage in peaceful and respectful discussions, support small businesses and local economies.
He also disclosed that Nigerians can also devote time to promote unity and inclusivity in their communities.
"However, let me encourage our youths to hold leaders accountable through democratic processes.
By choosing peace, progress, and unity, Nigerians can create a better future for themselves and generations to come. Join this collective call to action and be part of shaping a more united, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria", Adedayo said
